

- Dry ingredients:
- 1½ C cake flour
- 3 T cocoa
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 C sugar
- 1/2 t salt
- Wet ingredients:
- 5 T cooking oil
- 1 T vinegar
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 C cold water
Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Fold in the wet
ingredients. Pour the batter into a lightly greased and floured cake pan.
Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
This chocolate cake contains no eggs, no dairy, and no chocolate, whence
the name. A relative of the the dark part of Black Bottom Cupcakes, it is a
guilt-free, low-calorie, quick and easy dessert. An acquired taste, but I
always liked it as a kid.
